Question of the day #13

Just the other day, we were at Carl’s Jr. with Jason (Jes’ brother).  He LOVES the Western Bacon Cheeseburger and said that it was way better than In N Out.  A discussion ensued and a conclusion was never reached.  So this brings me to our Question of the Day.  Perhaps we’ll get ideas for new burgers to try too!  Mmm…burgers….

Question of the Day #13:
What’s your favorite burger and why?

My Answer:
I’d vote for the In N Out hamburger with grilled onions.  It’s simple, always good, and I never seem to get tired of it.

Question of the Day #12

Question of the Day #12:
If you had to be either blind or deaf, which would you choose?

My Answer:
Deaf.  I’m pretty sensitive to certain sounds anyway and I’m a stronger visual learner.

Jump, Run, Slide

I babysat Cole this afternoon and we had a pretty good time. It was a sunny afternoon so we took a walk to the park and brought Koa with us. Cole played on the slide and got to run around on the grass. It’s been a while since he last came to this park and it’s great to see how much more he can do and say. He’s running, climbing, jumping, and doesn’t need the stroller anymore.

Once we got back to the house, he was super thirsty and had several crackers to go with his OJ. It sounded like Marie had a nice shopping trip to Mitsua and enjoyed some alone time browsing the store and looking through magazines. It looks like we all had a fun afternoon! Here are some photos from our afternoon at the park.

Question of the Day #11

Question of the Day #11:
Name two traits you inherited from your family

My Answer:
1) my second toe is longer than my big toe
2) my artistic abilities

Birthday Bon Voyage

On Sunday night we had dinner with Huy, Holly, and Roy. We went to Al Noor, a hole-in-the-wall Indian place in Lawndale, that my brother has been raving about. Not only is the food really good but the dishes are super cheap.

We went out to celebrate Huy’s 32nd birthday and to hang out before he shipped out to Iraq. He’s leaving in about a month and will be gone for about seven months. It’s scary to think that he’ll be in a war zone but I’m glad that he’ll be on a base and relatively protected. We all suggested that he start a blog while he’s out there. Perhaps it will lead to a published book or a career in journalism for him! As soon as Huy figures out a good pen name for his blog, I’ll get him set-up. All suggestions are welcome. Happy Birthday, Huy!!
