Jes was at the Grenoble office for two days.

I think this is the view from the office. I wonder if his co-workers think Jes is a little crazy by now.
They had dinner at Jamie Oliver’s joint. Jes gave it 2 out 5 stars and said it was “way too salty” and that “we’re super spoiled in SF”.
Jes left for London last night and found a stowaway in his backpack. He didn’t know that Cookie Monster would be traveling with him to Europe but so far they are getting along just fine. KK’s been loving the photos that Jes has been texting to me. She said “Cookie Monster with Dada!” This is definitely a fun way to see the world through my husband’s eyes and a good way for him to appreciate his surroundings a little more while he’s working. Hopefully they will keep coming throughout the week.
So far, it looks like Jes enjoyed a martini at the airport prior to boarding the plane.

London Heathrow Airport at 3:00 pm on a Sunday looks kinda dead.

Jes took the subway to his hotel.
Cookie Monster reminds us to “mind the gap”.
After checking in, a nice tall beer at the hotel sounds like a good idea.
We took advantage of having free babysitters and celebrated our 12th Wedding Anniversary on Sunday night at Lawry’s. It’s one of our favorite places to eat and to celebrate special occasions. 
We got there about 20 minutes early so there was time for a drink and some meatballs. Yum.
Then at dinner, we didn’t have to order anything extra – we just got the prime rib with the creamed corn and mashed potato. Perfect.
For dessert, the waitress brought out two helpings of their English trifle with a candle lit in each one. That was sweet of her.
We also got a bonus dinner together on Monday night after we came home from LA. As we were walking to Marlowe, KK fell asleep in the stroller so we tucked her under the bar and had a quiet dinner together. I had a tasty drink called La Cuchilla, which had grapefruit juice, soda, and tequila. I’m sure there was other stuff in it too.
We also shared the mushroom soup and giant prawns with a spicy cocktail sauce before the burger came out. What a fun evening. KK also slept through the night without a peep out of her for a total of 12 hours!!! She must have had some major catching up to do on her sleep from the weekend.
This weekend we celebrated Alice’s 1st birthday at Liberty Park. 
The room was really nice and it was located right next to the playground.
There were lots of guests who attended and Mommy ordered so much Thai food!
It was so nice to catch up with the family and lots of Brother’s friends.
Alice actually slept through most of her party but she woke up in time for he cake.
We also made an attempt at getting a photo of the 2nd cousins together. This was the best we could do that day.
Happy Birthday, Alice!! It was fun celebrating with you all weekend!! KK loved having cake or ice cream every day of the 4-day weekend!
