“Lighting will guide you.”

I must say, there are certainly some perks that come with Jes travelling every week. I flew to Charlotte yesterday on United and sat in the First Class section again. It’s only my second time in First but you really do get off the plane in a much better mood…perhaps it was the bottomless wine glass that I had next to me. Haha.
I’m here in Charlotte now and it’s raining. Jes worked really late last night and didn’t get back to the room until 4am. Sheesh…this presentation that he has today must be really important. I’m hoping to explore the city today but maybe I should wait until the rain goes away. Until then, I’m going to hang here at the Westin and do some work.

Teenagers…

The Long Beach Aquarium was vandalized a couple nights ago by 3 teens who happened to be bored one night. They jumped the fence and tortured 2 sharks and left one out in the parking lot to die. They also stabbed a ray for fun. So sad…

It’s a Wonderful Life

Some of my joys in life are so simple. I’m at home eating my oatmeal and having a cup of coffee with Jes at my right and my dog at my feet. It’s sprinkling outside, I’m in my PJs at noon, and Air is playing in the background. Life is pretty sweet sometimes.

Ah, politics.

Did you vote?! I haven’t voted since the Bush/Clinton race but I’m voting this time around. Being in a Democratic state but a Republican county has been really weird. Irvine has some pretty gung-ho candidates for City Council too. Yesterday, I saw a candidate standing on a street corner holding a sign with his name on it and waving to the drivers passing by. Haha…it was amusing enough for me to vote for him. Hopefully we’ll have an answer to this presidential race tonight…ok, I’ll give it a week.
By the way, it’s our 2nd wedding anniversary and the hubby’s in Charlotte again. Sweet.

Eek, a mouse!!

I saw a black mouse scurry into a corner two nights ago in my garage. Then as I took Koa out for his evening outing, I saw another one in the courtyard! I know Koa could probably catch it but I don’ t know if I’d want to clean up the mess.

Here, have some germs!

I was sick as a dog over the weekend. I tried to go to work on Friday but had to go home by 10:00 am. It was fun passing my germies to those who came in contact with me those 2 hours though. Haha. Anyway, I stayed home most of the weekend, ate a lot of chicken soup, and watched “Mean Girls”. I also went to Home Depot to buy new plants/flowers for the patio to replace the ones that Koa dug up the other day…what an exciting life I lead. Jes and I took Koa to the dog park and bumped into Gavin and his dog, Maizie. We also met another “Koa”…he was an American Eskimo. Jes didn’t have to fly out until Monday morning so we had a little BBQ with Jay and Nikki just like old times. I sure miss those days. Watched the first game of the World Series and had fish tacos…yum.
