Stress Relief

It’s busy season at work and it’s definitely reflected in what I’m watching on TV. A few weeks ago, I was flipping through channels on the TV and found myself waching a full episode of “The Bachelor”. Wha?! Yep, I was watching Andy Baldwin courting four women and actually rooting for Tessa. Sweet. I’ve also been watching “Dancing With the Stars” every Monday and I’ve been pulling for Apolo and Julianne. Boy oh boy…if TiVo tracks my preferred shows, my TiVo “Suggested Shows” folder is going to packed with reality TV for months. Anyway, what I’m getting at is that trashy TV is a great stress reliever. Last week when I was completely stressed out, I came home, turned on my TiVo and vegged out for three hours. I felt SOOOO much better afterwards and slept like a baby.

Oh by the way, Tessa won Andy’s heart and Apolo and Julianne won. Woot! May sweeps rock.

Don’t worry, I saw the stupid show too….only the last episode, and I was glad that he picked Tessa!!

that’s funny that you watch that show. i actually know andy baldwin. not well, but someone through the military (he was a surgery intern the year before me in san diego) and he’s the friend of another acquaintance (completely random). interesting guy. for such a stud on paper (duke, ucsf med, world class triathlete, doc for navy seals) he certainly has a seemingly insecure need to continually draw attention to himself. he once requested my acquaintance to nominate him for one of cosmo’s most eligible bachelors and he had the writeup/submission all ready to go! he did make it in there, btw. but all in all a pretty nice guy.

Don’t be embarrassed- I have to confess to something even worse. Last weekend, Jane, Timmie and I watched National Bingo Night, and even printed out the bingo cards from the website so we could play along at home. Not proud of it… although Jane did win a $5 KMart gift card. 🙂

Huy! Oh man, Andy was definitely a cheese-ball. I can see why women thought he was so great but his personality seemed a little naive…like he’d never hung out with a bunch of girls before. Jes couldn’t stand being in the room with me while the show was on.

I probably would have had to leave the room too.
