This year for Fleet Week, Huy was on one of the nuclear aircraft carriers that came to the Bay Area.  On Saturday, he got a ferry ride to shore and was dressed in his uniform.  He’s now a Lieutenant Commander so he got lots of salutes while we were out and he even got us a table at Prospect, which had no reservations available.  Sweet.

I was in class all Saturday and Sunday but Jes and The Masayas got to hang out with him.  They even got a private tour of the aircraft carrier on Sunday!  I was so jealous.  On Sunday and Monday nights, we had dinner with some of the officers in his squadron.  They’re a fun bunch and we had some tasty food.

It was great seeing Huy and we learned a lot about what he’s been doing this past month on the ship.
